Pillsbury’s New Grands! Poppin’ Lineup Brings Hot Honey to the Biscuit Aisle
General Mills has launched four new refrigerated-dough varieties, pairing Mike’s Hot Honey and maple biscuits with raspberry and apple Fruit Rolls.

General Mills announced on June 15, 2026, that Pillsbury is expanding its Grands! range with four new Poppin’ Flavor products: Mike’s Hot Honey Biscuits, Maple Biscuits, Raspberry Fruit Rolls and Apple Fruit Rolls. The company says the products are available nationwide, giving shoppers a new set of ready-to-bake options for summer breakfasts, brunches and snacks.
The announcement is notable because the lineup changes the flavor profile without changing the basic kitchen routine. These are refrigerated dough products designed to be opened, arranged in a pan and baked according to the package instructions. The main difference is that the sweet, spicy or fruit-forward flavor is built into the dough rather than added through a separate sauce or filling.
Four flavors, two formats
The new range is split between savory-leaning biscuits and sweeter filled rolls. Pillsbury Grands! Poppin’ Flavor Mike’s Hot Honey Biscuits combine a warm biscuit with the signature sweet-heat profile associated with Mike’s Hot Honey. The Maple Biscuits take a more traditional breakfast direction, with maple flavor baked into the dough.
The Raspberry Fruit Rolls and Apple Fruit Rolls are positioned as fruit-filled options for breakfast or afternoon snacking. The raspberry version is described by Pillsbury as a soft roll with raspberry filling and vanilla icing, while the apple version is presented as a warm, apple-flavored alternative.
- Mike’s Hot Honey Biscuits: sweet heat in a flaky biscuit format.
- Maple Biscuits: a maple-flavored take on the classic refrigerated biscuit.
- Raspberry Fruit Rolls: raspberry filling with vanilla icing.
- Apple Fruit Rolls: an apple-flavored roll for mornings or snacks.
General Mills describes the launch as a response to interest in bolder flavors and familiar bakery formats. That framing comes from the company, not from an independent taste test, but it explains the practical role of the range: it lets home cooks change the flavor of a quick bake without changing the rest of the meal.
A practical way to use the new biscuits
Pillsbury has already published an official Huevos Rancheros Hot Honey Biscuits recipe using one 16.3-ounce, eight-count can. The recipe lists a total preparation time of 35 minutes and serves eight. It uses the biscuits as a base for cooked chorizo, eggs, refried beans, pico de gallo, queso fresco, guacamole and cilantro.
The method is straightforward. Bake the biscuits as directed on the can. While they bake, cook the chorizo in a skillet for five to seven minutes until cooked through, then drain it. In the same skillet, cook the eggs with water under a lid for five to seven minutes, until both the whites and yolks are firm. Split the warm biscuits and add the toppings just before serving.
That recipe also illustrates an important safety point for refrigerated dough: the package directions remain the authority for oven temperature and baking time. For the Raspberry Fruit Rolls, Pillsbury’s product page specifies a 350°F oven and 23 to 27 minutes of baking, with a note to check for a golden-brown finish. Instructions can vary by product, pan material and oven, so the biscuit directions should not automatically be applied to the fruit rolls.
What shoppers should check
The launch is useful for cooks who want a quick breakfast or brunch component, but the products are not interchangeable. The biscuits are better suited to savory toppings or alongside eggs, while the Fruit Rolls are already sweetened and include their own filling or icing. The choice is therefore less about substituting one product for another and more about matching the format to the meal.
Shoppers should also check the physical package for the most current ingredient, allergen and nutrition information. Pillsbury identifies wheat and milk ingredients on the Raspberry Fruit Rolls product page, but the full label should be checked for every flavor. Refrigerated dough should remain chilled until it is ready to bake, and raw dough should not be eaten.
General Mills’ announcement confirms the four-product lineup and nationwide availability at the time of launch, but it does not provide a price or a retailer-by-retailer listing. Availability can still vary by store, so the company’s product locator or local retailer listings are the appropriate next check.
The Grands! Poppin’ Flavor launch is ultimately a small but practical extension of refrigerated baking: familiar formats, new flavor combinations and minimal preparation. For a weekend brunch, the hot honey biscuits can move from the baking sheet to a topped breakfast plate in one meal. For a simpler option, the maple biscuits or Fruit Rolls offer a ready-to-bake route to a warm breakfast without mixing dough from scratch.
